Tongkat ali is a wild shrub plant that grows in moist sandy soil in the primitive tropical rainforest near the equator in Southeast Asia. Tongkat ali extract is employed as a traditional remedy for the treatment of malaria, high blood pressure, fever, fatigue, loss of sexual desire and impotence.
