Introduction

Macleaya cordata extract is a green pollution-free plant extract. It is widely used in animal production and has significant effects in replacing growth-promoting antibiotics for feeding, improving animal growth performance, and improving animal health. It is also used in medicine, biological pesticide, veterinary medicine, fine chemical products raw materials.

The main chemical ingredient is alkaloid, such as Sanguinarine, Chelerythrine, protopine, α -allocryptopine and β -allocrytopine. The main effective chemical components in Macleaya cordata Extract were serine and chelidonine, and the contents in fruits were the highest. Sanguinarine is a potent inhibitor of NF-kappa B activation and degradation. It was been shown to be reversible inhibitors of the enzymatic hydrolysis of acetylthiocholine. Researches shown that the Sanguinarine can regulate the growth and metabolism pathway in animals and inhibit the activities of related enzymes, thus increasing the appetite and feed intake of animals.
