Turmeric Extract Introduction:
Turmeric Extract is extracted from Curcumin Longa L., it has strong anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory characteristics. Curcumin, an ingredeint extracted from turmeric, has been used as a condiment for thousands of years and is still the main ingredient in traditional curry powder. Curcumin is a kind of polyphenol produced mainly in subtropical countries such as India, China, Pakistan and Peru. There are three types of turmeric extract: Turmeric essential oil, Turmeric oleoresin and Pure pigment.
Curcumin has long been used in food industry as a natural pigment. Curcumin also has important economic value and a wide range of pharmacological effects, such as hypolipidemic, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-atherosclerosis, etc.
