Senna leaf extract contains Sennoside A, B and derivatives: aloe emodin, chrysophanol, rheic acid, etc. Senna leaf acts on the intestinal walls, causing contractions that lead to bowel movements, so it can be used to effectively relieve even the most severe cases of constipation. It helps transport electrolytes and also cleanse the colon creating a bowel movement.
