Introduction:
Studies have found that boswellic acid and its derivatives have anti-tumor, blood lipid-lowering, and anti-inflammatory effects. Frankincense extract has strong effect and low toxicity. It is used to treat induced arthritis without side effects. It is more effective than other anti-rheumatic drugs, better than indomethacin, phenylbutazone, aspirin, etc., and can be used as the first choice drug.
Boswellic acid can be used for analgesia in the diffuse layer of hyperplasia lesions to prevent the weakening of the connective system. The effect of the drug is similar to that of anti-rheumatic steroids, and it has no side effects and does not cause gastric bloating and gastric ulcers. Frankincense has obvious effect on the treatment of bronchial asthma. Boswellic acid extract is used in India to inhibit leukotriene biosynthesis. After a double-blind experiment and a placebo-controlled clinical study for 6 weeks, 70% of the diseased surface tissues treated with frankincense improved, the symptoms disappeared, and the number of eosinophils and ESR decreased. In the control group given lactose, tissue improved in only 27% of the patients.
