Orthosiphon Extract Introduction

Orthosiphon Extract is derived from stems and leaves of Clerodendranthus spicatus. It contains calcium sulfate, calcium and potassium salts of unknown organic acids, volatile oil, saponin, pentose, hexose, glucuronic acid and meso-inositol etc. Sinensetin is the main active ingredient found in Orthosiphon Extract, which has potent antiangiogenesis activity and enhances adipogenesis and lipolysis. According to relevant records, Orthosiphon Extract has anti-inflammatory effect. It is mainly used to treat acute and chronic nephritis, cystitis, lithangiuria and rheumatoid arthritis. 

Orthosiphon Extract can reduce water retention in the body. It is a proved diuretic that can help expel excess water through urination. Unlike other diuretics, it does not cause electrolyte imbalance in the body while expelling water.
