Birch Bark Extract Introduction:
Birch bark extract is extracted from the bark of the birch tree. The main active ingredient is betulin. It is a natural pentacyclic triterpene compound with multiple biological activities. It is easy to synthesize into betulinic acid with stronger activity. It selectively kills human melanoma cells without killing healthy cells, and has an inhibitory effect on HIV-1 infection. In addition, recent studies have shown that betulinic acid has an inhibitory effect on brain tumors, neuroectodermal tumors, leukemia and other malignant tumor cells.
