Introduction:
Chlorogenic acid is a phenolic natural product isolated from the leaves and fruits of dicotyledonous plants, including the coffee bean, . Structurally, chlorogenic acid is the ester of caffeic acid with the 3-hydroxyl group of quinic acid.it has many effects as below: Can be used as anti-infectious active ingredient. Has wide anti-virus, anti-bacteria effects.The protection to cardiovascular:A large number of experiments have show that Chlorogenic acid, as a kind of free radical scavenger and antioxidant, has a good protection to cardiovascular. Chang Cuiqing proved that chlorogenic acid has a preparatory prevention to the damage of endothelial cells induced by ox-LDL.
Chlopcikova discovered that chlorogenic can protect Myocardium cell from being damaged by oxidant of Doxombiein,DOx and has a prominent inhibition of peroxidization of mitochondria envelope lipid induced by iron reserves dependence DOX. It goes to show chlorogenic acid can protect vascular endothelium cell by removing radical intermediate and antioxidant lipids and has a further prevention to arteriosclerosishypertension and thrombosis.
