Chenopodium ambrosioides(
ysphania ambrosioides (L.) Mosyakin et Clemants) is an annual or perennial herb with a height of 50-80 cm and a strong fragrance. Its stem is erect, with much branched. Leaf blade oblong-lanceolate to lanceolate, apex acute or acuminate, margin with sparsely untidy greater serrate.
The whole herb is used as medicine to treat ascariasis, hookworm disease, pinworm disease, skin eczema and maggots.The fruit contains volatile oil (soil wattle oil), which contains ascaris, which is an effective component of insect repellent.
