Turmeric is a perennial herbaceous plant that reaches up to 1 m tall. Highly branched, yellow to orange, cylindrical, aromatic rhizomes are found. The leaves are alternate and arranged in two rows. They are divided into leaf sheath, petiole, and leaf blade.
Curcumin is a yellow pigment extracted from the rhizome of curcuma. For acidic polyphenols, the main chain is unsaturated lipid group and aromatic group. It is usually used as a colorant for meat and an indicator of acid and base, and has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and other pharmacological effects.
Curcumin is a pigment extracted from turmeric of the zingiberaceae plant and also found in other zingiberaceae plants. Modern studies have found that curcumin can inhibit inflammatory response, antioxidant, anti-rheumatoid effect. Viti vitamin magazine in the United States reported: "The main pharmacological effects of curcumin are antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anticoagulant, lipid-lowering, anti-atherosclerosis, anti-aging elimination of free radicals and inhibit tumor growth.
